Getting organized and staying on track with free planner inserts

The traditional week on two pages just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Although I use my planner daily, I’m failing to plan every day. This is leaving me feeling very unorganized.

My weekly spread doesn’t allow me to plan daily so a daily planner was needed to keep me functional.

I was inspired to design a daily/weekly planner to share with you all but I’m not going to lie, I LOVE the design and set up.

The daily planner inserts

It has two days to a page in vertical format which means you can print a whole week to one sheet of A4/letter sized paper (when printed duplex).

Each day allows you to track your important water intake, your top 3 goals for the day, your workouts and appointments. There is also a section for you to meal plan.

What’s more, these free planner inserts are available in both A5 and personal size.

The personal size is tempting me to abandon my A5 Kikki K since anything in miniature form is making my heart super happy these days.

Seriously, have you seen these pages? They are just so cute!

How will I be using my daily planner inserts with weekly set up?

In the past I have designed a similar set up customized to my own needs. The plan was to use them alongside my weekly spread. A weekly spread was needed to see where I am at a glance.

I mainly use my weekly spread to note appointments, errands, household chores and anything related to my husband, children and household.

My daily pages will be used to note the things I NEED to do on any particular day and will most likely be work related.

Free Printable Future Log Planner Inserts

Who can believe that 2016 is almost over and done with? This is usually the time of year the Planner Community starts thinking about their planner set ups for the coming year. With this in mind, I thought I’d share a great functional tool that I have been using for next year – The Future Log

Get your free printable future log planner inserts to help you stay organized & well-planned.

Why The Future Log For Your Planner?

If you are like me, towards the end of the year you are itching to get your planner set up and ready for the new year. The problem is that once you have your planner set up exactly how you want it, you find yourself fighting the temptation to start using it.

I use a Future Log to help me start planning for the following year without the need to break open my new planner early. I simply use the Future Log in my current set and migrate it across at the beginning of the following year so that I can continue to use it throughout the year.

Here’s How I Use The Future Log

I use the Future Log to make note of the important dates that I need to remember for the new year ahead. I avoid using the Future Log for birthday’s since I usually migrate the Celebrations Planner across to my new set up once the year is over.  I do, however, write down important business related items and deadlines, school holidays, special events and anniversaries. Since I am really superstitious, I don’t physically write anything in my planner for the year ahead until January 1st and so using a Future Log really helps me get organized ahead of time.

FREE Functional Inserts For A5 & Personal Planners

FREE Functional Inserts For A5 & Personal Planners with 3 pages for notes, contacts, & to do lists. Super cute, colorful, & fun! Get the planning you need to get done with these gorgeous free printables.

Hey ladies! I am back with another set of free functional inserts for your A5 and personal size planners. Firstly, I have to hold my hands up and confess how unorganized I have been lately. My husband has just returned to work after three weeks of annual leave and during that time I only used my planner for the things I absolutely needed to.

Since the hubby was home and able to help with our two boys, I decided it was a good time to overhaul my website to prepare for the new launch, as well as work on some up and coming new designs for my Etsy store. I have to tell you, I learned a valuable lesson – I cannot function without my planner or my to do lists.

I spent ages trying to figure the whole website/blog thing out without any luck. It really isn’t a difficult task for me since I’ve had numerous blogs, all of which I designed.  But, I was designing this site without even writing a to do list-and getting no where fast!

Functional Planner Inserts Are Important!

This got me thinking about how important functional planner inserts are in my every day planning. Planning is a hobby for many of us planner girls but functionality is definitely a key factor for me.

Based on the feedback I received in the Planner Squad facebook group, functional planner inserts are important to you, too! I thought it would be a great idea to release some free functional  inserts for this week’s free download for your planners. Since its summer (at least where I live), I decided to design the functional inserts using a tropical summery colour theme to give them the splash of colour that will have you excited and motivated to listing and note taking.

FREE Planner Inserts for A5 & Personal Sizes + Tips On How To Print

Get these functional & adorable FREE inserts for A5 & personal planners. Plus, get tips on how to print free planner inserts.h

In my last post, I shared some free planner inserts set around daily planning. I designed some FREE month on two-page inserts to keep your organized.

These free planner inserts are available in both A5 and personal size plus match the daily/weekly planner from my last post.

For today’s post, I thought I would also offer you some tips on how to print your free planner inserts. I know that some of you will be familiar with printing your own inserts. For those of you who are not so confident with printing inserts at home (or if you would like to learn some new tricks), I thought this would be a great tutorial to share the tricks I have learned along the way.

I love printables for so many reasons!  Even prior to setting up my Etsy store, my preference was always to buy printables. I am just too impatient to be waiting for the postman.  When you live on a small island in the Mediterranean like I do, post can take just about forever. Plus, I really like control over the quality of what I am printing.

Hopefully, some of these tips and tricks will help make your own printing process easier.

5 Tips to help you print your Free Planner Inserts

TIP 1: For A5 inserts, ALWAYS cut your paper down to size and set the ratio 100% prior to printing your planner inserts. This will give you the best printing output. Printing booklet style or two a5 pages to an A4 sheet will not give you optimum results.

TIP 2: When printing personal size planner inserts, do NOT print booklet style or two inserts to an A4 sheet. When you instruct your computer to print booklet style, it will automatically apply shrinkage to your inserts by adjusting the borders to allow for booklet binding.

IF you have to print booklet style, you will find the need to increase the print ratio to approximately 152% in order to get the correct sizing. This leads me onto TIP 3.

TIP 3: Print personal size planner inserts onto A5 paper and set the ratio to 100%. You will still get two inserts per A4 sheet but by printing on A5 paper the printing output will be perfect without the need for trial and error.

TIP 4: Most home printers do not have the ability to print duplex on a paper size smaller than A4 but all printers have the capacity to print duplex manually. Every printer is different but most printers will have the option to allow you to print all odd pages first followed by placing the inserts back into the printer and printing all even pages.

TIP 5: When printing the even pages of your planner inserts, pay attention to the orientation that your printer prints before placing the inserts back into the printing tray. If your printer has the option of printing the even pages in reverse, choosing this option will mean that you simply place the inserts back into the printer in the order the inserts printed.

If your printer only allows you to print the even pages in sequence, you will need to re-stack your inserts so that the last page is at the bottom of the pile and the first page is at the top of the pile with all blank sides facing upwards.
