Who can believe that 2016 is almost over and done with? This is usually the time of year the Planner Community starts thinking about their planner set ups for the coming year. With this in mind, I thought I’d share a great functional tool that I have been using for next year – The Future Log
.
Why The Future Log For Your Planner?
If you are like me, towards the end of the year you are itching to get your planner set up and ready for the new year. The problem is that once you have your planner set up exactly how you want it, you find yourself fighting the temptation to start using it.
I use a Future Log to help me start planning for the following year without the need to break open my new planner early. I simply use the Future Log in my current set and migrate it across at the beginning of the following year so that I can continue to use it throughout the year.
Here’s How I Use The Future Log
I use the Future Log to make note of the important dates that I need to remember for the new year ahead. I avoid using the Future Log for birthday’s since I usually migrate the Celebrations Planner across to my new set up once the year is over. I do, however, write down important business related items and deadlines, school holidays, special events and anniversaries. Since I am really superstitious, I don’t physically write anything in my planner for the year ahead until January 1st and so using a Future Log really helps me get organized ahead of time.
